Looking for a Linux SysAdmin

------------------------------------------------------
Greg Laudeman is looking for a sys admin and maybe with some dev skills to
help with a project involving shared calendar and directory services for
communities. His ideas have been vetted in a few casual meetings, he's a
smidge more than buzzword compliant in Linux, and he's paying "something".
I've advised him to build the system he wants, and that calendar and
directory info is just import and export code.

Greg Laudeman is greg@eduity.net

Cut and pasted from a Facebook Messenger Chat:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
This would be for data utility proof-of-concept and to deploy Nextcloud for
my company.
Part of the challenge is identifying exactly which server:
https://www.calendarserver.org/, https://radicale.org/v3.html,
https://www.davical.org/, https://sabre.io/baikal/ (or https://sabre.io/),
or https://github.com/jelmer/xandikosCalendar and Contacts Server
Another part of the challenge is that I'd really like to go through the
server deployment as a learning episode, working through basic steps as a
group (that may include non-technical folks).
My company (Eduity) uses Debian, Ngnix, PHP/Laravel, PostgreSQL for our app
but that doesn't impinge on the calendar/directory service. It can be
whatever the team deems best.

=============================================================== From: William Roush via chugalug ------------------------------------------------------ I reached out, it's probably way overkill for my team to get involved, but I said maybe it's something I can bang out in a few days too as just a side-thing. =============================================================== From: "Greg Laudeman, Ed.D. via chugalug" ------------------------------------------------------ We=E2=80=99re deploying Nextcloud for enterprise use by my startup = company. While the ultimate goal is to set up public calendar and directory for = the community, the short-term objective figure out what=E2=80=99s = required to deploy and maintain such services, including user accounts, = roles & permissions, etc. It might make sense to use Nextcloud for community information = infrastructure but I=E2=80=99m not sure about that. At this point, what = server software to use is open to discussion but my preference is to use = something very focused and relatively lightweight.
